MOVIE NIGHT · Freedom of Speech and the Press

Join us at ICANA Belgrano for the viewing of two short and great movies "The Martha Mitchell Effect" and "For the record". They certainly help us raise public awareness of the importance of freedom of speech and the press in democracy. And after the movies, engage in live good conversations with the audience.

Watching a movie can often be something that many of us look forward to, it allows us to relax, disconnect and have a good time. When we watch a movie, we experience different emotions, it helps inspire motivation and can even give us energy for real life!
Program created and coordinated by ICANA. In partnership with the US Embassy in Argentina.

The program is in English and it includes:

  • Movie watch party (75 minutes).
  • Discuss the movie with the audience (30 minutes).

The discussion will be facilitated by ICANA staff and a special journalist. The exchange of ideas is fun and participants may learn something about the films from someone else that they didn't pick up on themselves.

Program open to the community at large. +17 years old. Intermediate and Advanced level of English. Free of charge.
